Isabel is a native of Melbourne Australia. Her father is Australian while her mother is Swiss. Her family lived in the Swiss, in Melbourne Jabiru (a tiny mining community within the Northern Territory), Cairns Australia and Jabiru in Switzerland. Along with their sister Nina she was a student at schools which were home to First Nations children as well as children from other cultures. Isabel currently lives in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel began acting in school. When she graduated from Queensland University of Technology, she continued her studies in drama at the Victoria College of Arts. She also recently completed the PEM Method course (Perdekamp Emotional Method) study. Her agent discovered her in 2002. She had never tried on roles previously. She was cast in Home and Away, 1988. She auditioned for a part in the show Home and Away (1988). After three years, she played her first role on TV and received with a Logie Award. Isabel has moved to Los Angeles, California in 2008. Her breakthrough came in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, (2009). Since then, she has appeared in many US as well as Australian film productions and won various accolades. Recently, Isabel had a cameo in award-winning Bosh & Rockit (Ocean Boy) a film that is rapidly becoming an Australian classic and in the soon-to-be released horror film Lunacy. Isabel just finished Sons of Summer. She is currently in the pre-production process for her part as Marie Curie with award winning writer/director Annika Glas.
